Cannabis Oil Treats Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnea and Insomnia!

Did you know that cannabis oil treats narcolepsy, sleep apnea and insomnia? These are just some of the sleep issues that can be altered in a positive manner by a natural therapy called cannabis oil. And the most common cannabinoids used to treat these issues are cannabidiol (CBD and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). While CBD is harmless and non-psychoactive, THC has some side effects and is psychoactive. The right blend, however, of CBD and THC will cure any condition of the human spirit, mind and body. Cannabis Oil Treats Sleep Issues Cannabis oil can be a panacea for anything from the common cold to the worst cancer. You may be very pleased to hear that cannabis oil treats narcolepsy (extreme fatigue during waking hours), sleep apnea (air is obstructed when breathing at night) and insomnia (difficulty in falling asleep and staying asleep at night). If  you take a good dose of THC it will make you sleep. But it has side effects – it makes you high. If you take a good dose of CBD, it makes you sleep and with no side effects. If you take small doses of CBD throughout the day, it keeps you alert. The user must therefore […]

Try the Best South African Cannabis Skin Cream on the Market!

It is time to try the best South African skin cream on the market – which happens to be a cannabis balm and a natural therapy at that. Exactly a year ago, on 6 July 2017, the South African Minister of Health gazetted Cannabidiol (CBD) as a Schedule 6 drug. Only 5 days later, it was rescheduled as a Schedule 4 drug b the Medicines Control Council. For all South Africans, this means that they can try the best skin cream on the market if they get a prescription. Schedule 4 Drugs Need a Prescription This means they have a health issue which could be pain, swollen joints, muscle cramps or other skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or acne. Then they go to the doctor and get a prescription to be allowed to take CBD. This cannabis chemical compound is free of side effects but has powerful healing qualities. Its sister cannabinoid, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is psychoactive so needs to be better regulated. Schedule 4 drugs can be only taken if there is a prescription to treat chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension and bacterial infections. The patient must first go to the doctor to get the go ahead to […]

Cannabis Legislation in South Africa – What’s New?

There may be no new updates regarding cannabis legislation in South Africa, but the citizens themselves update themselves all the time. If you look closer, if you read between the lines, you will find that the state of limbo of South African cannabis legislation has started processes behind closed doors. Did you know that the country’s first medical cannabis dispensary has opened in Durban? Or that a coffee shop in upmarket Sandton is selling cannabis in its meals and as joints upstairs? When travellers come to sunny South Africa, they seem to know just where to source some of the best cannabis around – right here, in our streets, from our people! What is New Since the Cannabis Court Case? Just more than a year ago, the Western Cape High Court ruled that sections of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, and the Medicines Act, were not legal anymore, in terms of the Constitution. This was as momentous judgement for cannabis legislation in South Africa as it meant that cannabis cannot be banned when grown, used or bought by adults for private home use. There will be no update to cannabis legislation until the Constitutional Court decides these Acts are […]
